SPD movie
Salym Petroleum Development is a Joint Venture established on a 50:50 basis by Shell and Russian oil company Evikhon controlled by Sibir Energy plc. Since 2003 SPD has been developing the Salym group of oilfields (West Salym, Upper Salym and Vadelyp), which are located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. During this time a major modern oil production facilities were built here. SPD and its contractors constructed the field facilities and bring them on stream at a pace unheard of in Western Siberia. As early as in summer of 2006 SPD joined the ranks of the Russian oil companies with the annual production exceeding one mln tonne. The company has made the transition from construction into the operational phase. SPD has ambitious goals for this phase, which are best expressed using new motto of SPD: Best Team – Best Operator. The new movie includes all the best practices – technologies, SPD business principles, L&D, etc., SPD uses in its daily work. 3D graphics used in the movie to demonstrate the technologies SPD is using and/or going to use in the nearest future: gun anchor, y-tool, smart wells, diesel fracs, well container, permanent magnet motors. |

Good neigbor
Since the inception of the Salym project SPD has done its best to make an adequate contribution to resolve on the social and economic issues of the region basing on the sustainable development principles. Each year the company supports a number of priority social projects.SPD helps the development of heath care, school and preschool education, the village social infrastructure and small business. |
