In 2009 the total daily production from the Salym oil fields in Western Siberia, developed by Salym Petroleum Development N.V. (SPD), increased 1.2 times compared with 2008 and made 7.65 million tons (55.3 million barrels).
During last year SPD drilled 303 km of wells and completed 103 wells. Average drilling time was 10.48 days with the record well of 4.54 days. Average completion time was 5,48 days.
