Smart Fields in Russia

One of the advantages of SPD as a Joint Venture company with foreign capital is the possibility to have access to the state-of-the-art technologies tested elsewhere by oil producing companies of Shell, which is one of the founders and shareholders of SPD. The company is making use of this possibility in the development of Salym fields.

Paving Road to Succes in Driling

Looking back to 2003, when the first practical steps in the development of Salym group of fields were being considered, SPD had the aim of becoming one of the best oil companies in Russia. During this short period, the company has made noticeable progress on the way to fulfilling its goals.

Advanced Technologies in Well Testing

New technologies and methods have been tested in logging operations. SPD conducted a logging operation while drilling underbalanced using a coil tubing tool in an open hole of a small-diameter well. In each fifth well SPD conduct formation testing to measure formation pressure in various zones and determine the mobility of the formation fluid.
